THE TOY PARK
In a promising development, Sector 33 of Yamuna Expressway has witnessed the establishment of a Toy Park—a dynamic venture that ushers in a new era for the toy manufacturing industry. Boasting plots with sizes ranging from up to 4000 square meters and beyond, this innovative park was inaugurated on the 10th of August, 2020, signifying a dedicated space for the creation and nurturing of toys that inspire the imagination. The timeline of this transformative project is punctuated with significant milestones. The window for applications spanned from the 10th to the 25th of August, 2020, followed by a crucial draw on the 10th of September, 2020. The meticulous approach to plot allocation reflects the park’s vision, with an exclusive focus on non-polluting units. Notably, plots exceeding 4000 square meters were allocated through an allotment committee, underscoring a strategic approach to optimizing land usage.
An insightful move by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has been the proposal for a common facility center spanning five acres within the Toy Park. This facility, poised to facilitate shared resources and expertise, embodies a collaborative spirit that fosters growth and innovation within the toy manufacturing ecosystem. Recently, the Toy Park witnessed a momentous event as the Chief Executive Officer of YEIDA, Arunveer Singh, handed over possession to 26 allottees who had successfully secured lease deeds. This event underscores the tangible progress taking place within the park, symbolizing the actualization of visions into reality. With its expansive scope, the Toy Park envisions housing a diverse range of manufacturing units, from soft toys and electronic toys to wooden toys, ride-on toys, and an array of play equipment.
This thematic diversity speaks to the vibrant tapestry of creativity that this park aims to foster, providing a platform for a myriad of innovative endeavors to flourish. Mr. Singh’s address during the program highlighted the transformative impact of the Toy Park. He emphasized how the local toy industry has evolved from being a consumer to a contributor, with toys manufactured here finding their way into the markets of 50 countries. An investment of around 1100 crore rupees has been earmarked for this 100-acre park, a testament to its significance and potential. Notably, this investment translates into more than six thousand employment opportunities, serving as a beacon of economic empowerment for the region. As the Toy Park continues to evolve, more allottees are set to join the fold, with 28 more scheduled to receive possession in the upcoming weeks. This momentum signifies a promising trajectory, underscoring the park’s role as a dynamic catalyst for innovation, commerce, and employment generation within the toy manufacturing domain.
